JIM'S ART PROCESS
The color bursts you see in 'The Window' are produced initially in intense photography sessions underwater in the studio using mixtures of inks, oils and water to produce moments of crazy color and bursts of pure design. Catching these moments is Jim’s 'mad scientist' dance of sorts clicking, pouring, mixing, concocting, orchestrating and capturing the magic. In the case of digital photography paintings like 'The Window' Jim then layers the designs with screens of colors and layers of varying intensity using a 'painting with light' technique until a complete artwork emerges from the digital canvas. Each photograph is a combination of distinct once-in-a-lifetime moments pulled poetically together that you can enjoy fully as a fine art print or in any of our home decor and accessory designs. The dramatic limited edition art prints featuring this 'The Window’ artwork are selling worldwide. Jim uses the industry's best Canon lenses and cameras to capture the split second dances of light, water, oils, inks and magic. Enjoy!
